and the woodworking in my stairway (which I haven’t blogged about yet). Anyway, I got to thinking about how often I actually use plywood. You guys, I’ve seriously used plywood in every room in my house. When you think of plywood, you think of the stuff hidden under your floors. But if you’re not using plywood in your house, you’re missing out! I want to share with you some amazing plywood projects from some of my favorite bloggers! Some of them are hard to believe they’re even plywood projects!
20 DIY Plywood Projects
Give an old bookcase a new look. This bookshelf was a huge thumbs down before Erin got ahold of it. I love that she added planks to the back of the bookcase. What a transformation. & that little hanging art clip is cute. You can do something similar with an ikea pant hanger.

Add planks to a powder room for a big impact. Adding wood planks to the wall was crazy cheap. Like $13 cheap. And it has made a huge difference in my powder room. But can we talk about that light fixture for a sec!? I got that one at home depot for $20. But last time I went, they didn’t have any. I ‘ve been considering swapping it for this black one or this green one.

Give your small closet a large upgrade. I just adore this little girl’s closet makeover from Jen Woodhouse! Aren’t those curtains adorable!? I found a similar curtain on amazon for $17! I have similar baskets in my home. Mine came from Home Goods, but I found them here too.

Create a large poster frame for a big impact. I love using sentimental items in décor. I’ve also got my eye on that desk lamp! Ikea has a similar one for $65, click here to see it.

Make a Menagerie for your kids. Or honestly, your tools or crafts or shoes, or whatever. How cute is this storage unit!?

Create a focal wall with a gold studded plank wall. I’m all about taking an idea and making it your own. I love that she added gold studs to her wood planked walls! You can get the same look by adding gold upholstery tacks found here.

Build a shoe storage bench. I love that this has storage under the bench, but not on the floor. ya know? This project is in my near future. And those crates? Crazy cheap! I found mine here.

Make an Industrial Inspired Desk. This is one of the coolest desks I’ve ever seen. It’s difficult, even for me to believe that this desk is made from plywood and 2x4s! I couldn’t help but laugh that she has a mac. Of course she does. I don’t know many bloggers who can live without a mac. And those floors! I wonder if she has a tutorial for those too…

Cover up unsightly wire shelving. I had this stuff in my first apartment and I HATED it! It doesn’t clean easily for one. I would have loved to have this solution way back when!

Create a cozy reading nook. I’ve thought about doing this in our coat closet. We rarely use it, and I think it would be so cute. I love that hanging lamp there. Our ceilings are so low, we have to use flushmount lights. Here’s a flushmount in a similar style.

Custom build a door from scratch. When I saw this photo, the only thing I could think to say was, “how?” But somehow, this door cost $50 to build. And that stunning sliding door hardware was a whopping $89. I found it on Amazon here.

Large World Map Art. This project can be customized in so many ways. You do need a cutting machine though. Rachel uses a Sillouette. I have a Cricut Explore Air and I LURRRVE it. Rachel also supplies the image download for you. How thoughtful.

Create a giant chalkboard wall calendar. I’ve made a giant chalkboard before, so I know it’s crazy cheap and so, so easy to do. This is such a great idea for a command center! That organizer is so cute too!
