Books for Toddler Boys
by Lauren from Gather & Flourish
My boys absolutely LOVE books! This is something that, as a mother, brings me so much joy! I wanted to put together my list of favorite books for toddler boys (but these books are all great, no matter the gender). Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site has been both of my boys favorite book. It was the ONLY book we could read for over a month. Every nap and bedtime! The Little Blue Truck has also been one of our favorites. We even had a Little Blue Truck birthday party for our youngest because he loves it that much! We have so many great memories reading these books together, I’m sure the little guy in your life will love them too! Also, I made sure to pick board books so they can be enjoyed without getting destroyed.

Christmas Gifts for Boys Age 6-8
by Jessica from The Vanderveen House
Tony and Jessica’s oldest son is 7 years old, and Jessica thinks it is probably the most fun age to buy for. When buying gifts, Jessica looks for ideas first that the kids will love, and second that she will have fun playing with them. Aren’t toys more fun when you can pretend you’re a kid again and play right along with your kids? Some of Jessica’s favorite toys for boys age 6-8 include Lego, wooden train tracks, and race cars.

Gifts that Encourage Creative Play
by Lora from Craftivity Designs
Tired of buying toys that are forgotten soon after it’s opened? If so, invest in quality classics that encourage creative play. Not only will the kids play for hours, you can add more pieces over the years to build their collection. Curated by Lora, from Craftivity Designs — and a mom of a 2 and 6-year-old — here are her go-to gifts that encourage creative play:
- Purchase GeoTrax Train Sets over the years. The sets will all interlock, have automated trains, and encourage critical thinking skills in order to build creative tracks.
- Legos are a classic which never grows old and any kid can use a set of basic Lego bricks to mix in with their Lego kits.
- Dress-up kits and a play teepee {bonus: it folds up when not in use!} are timeless staples that encourage imaginary play.
- Encourage the development of artistic skills with a simple easel, Play-Doh, and art kits.
- All young children love “playing house,” so collect basics such as kitchen goods and a dollhouse.

Wooden Toy Gift Ideas
Wooden toys seem to last longer and are just better quality than plastic toys usually. Most wooden toys are centered around imaginative play are a little more of a neutral color (ya know…because they’re wood). So your boys don’t mind cooking something up in the kitchen and girls get busy fixing things around the house – life skills! Kids toys and home decor don’t usually mesh, but as an added bonus, wooden toys are at least a little more aesthetically pleasing than loudly colored plastic toys!

Christmas Outfits for Girls
by Jessica from The Vanderveen House
Jessica loves to buy her daughters a new outfit around Christmas time. It is so fun for girls to dress up for parties or church on Christmas day. To create the perfect outfit, first find the dress that you love, and pair it with some sparkly shoes and a matching cardigan to keep warm.

Christmas Day Pajama Sets
by Jessica from The Vanderveen House
Christmas isn’t the same without a new pair of Christmas jammies! There are so many cute options for kids that include stripes, reindeer, plaid, and moose. My favorite of all of these is the “oops, I moosed up”. This would look so cute on a little kid who likes to get into trouble!
