You guys. I made something! I haven’t been the handiest person in the world with the issues I’m having regarding joint pain. But I’m still able to do some small things (mostly) on my own. This time I made this adorable 2 board farmhouse bench! Yesssss it’s made with only two boards! How stinkin’ cool is that!? I’m sharing all of the details over at Remodelaholic for the #2x4andmore party!
It currently has a home outside in my garden, where peonies are free to hang around it. Because I sealed the bench with an outdoor sealer, I can use this bench indoors or outdoors without having to worry about it getting wrecked by weather.
My inspiration came from Jenna Sue’s most recent kitchen makeover. She had this incredible bench build for her kitchen. I just fell in love with the arched legs and knew I had to have one of these for myself! If you haven’t seen her kitchen makeover yet, you should! Click here to go to her kitchen makeover.
I mean, come on! That bench is fantastic! My original thought was to put one in my kitchen too. But since Remodelaholic had an outdoor 2×4 and more party going on, I thought I’d jump in and make a bench for my garden instead. But in all honesty, I could wind up bringing this beauty inside. Only because I want to stare at it all day long!
This bench only required two 2×8 boards and a couple cuts. All the magic is in putting in together. What’s a 2×8 by you? Maybe 8 dollars? So this project cost maybe 16 dollars in lumber? That’s impressive in my book! And if you can get your hands on a saw, drill, and a jigsaw, you’re in business! I’m sharing all the details over at Remodelaholic.
