We left off here, where I showed you my progress on the Board and Batten walls in my home office.
Since then, I made a trip to Ikea, where I picked up some of the items on my mood board: the desks, metal/glass bookshelves, pendant light shade, and mounted shelves & brackets.
I’m in the process of setting up all the furniture.
I love Ikea because I rarely need an extra hand to put their stuff together!
Brian says I need to add more pictures of myself. So here ya go! So glamorous!
One table up!
I ended up getting the really glossy white desks, they have a lacquered type finish, so it just adds a little bit more sparkle.
* I think I mentioned on a previous post, but I found those two chairs in the as-is section of Ikea. They were $35 a piece, originally $69 a piece, just because they were floor models.*
I’m planning to put another desk in between, kind of splitting up the two areas.
I really like the way this office is set up (from betrueimagedesign.com)
I have a desk that I purchased a few years ago from ikea, but at the moment, it doesn’t match the other desks I just bought.
So I’m planning to give this a couple coats of paint to match the other two. Then I’ll add it in between the others.
Here are the metal/glass shelves. I almost bought three. I’m glad I didn’t, because these fit perfectly.
I’m still thinking about whether or not I should paint these shelves. What do you think? Too soon to decide? That’s how I’m feeling.
Now the list of to do’s to finish this space:
