This episode is another favorite of mine, what struck me most about this house was all the character it has that makes it so charming! The built-in’s, fireplace and the wall sconces are original to the home, they just needed a bit of touching up. So Chip and Joanna painted the fireplace and surround white to tie in the arches and built-in cabinets. If you are interested in a list of Joanna’s favorite paint colors, I have color matched the Magnolia Homes Paint Collection to Benjamin Moore paint colors and listed them for you here. Also, we cannot talk about this living room without mentioning the light fixture. If I had to choose a favorite piece in this room it would be this Circle Cage Antique Gold Chandelier! Fixer Upper features some of the best light fixtures that really make a statement!
And speaking of lighting, I see Joanna’s favorite lamp over on the entry table. Not only does she use this lamp in some of the Fixer Upper episodes, but she also uses them in their farmhouse! For this living space, Joanna chose a neutral couch and set of chairs which she centered around an industrial style coffee table and jute rug. Simple white candlesticks and some magnolia stems add a soft feminine touch to the masculine coffee table to finish the space.
