Welcome to DIY the Look: Country Living Edition!
DIY the Look is the series where I show you inspiring rooms, and put together a resource list to help you replicate the look.
So many times I flip through magazines or pinterest and just am amazed at the designs I see. And I’m gonna be honest with you. I am a huge supporter of the duplicate and elaborate system of design. You like what you see, duplicate it. Buy the outfit you see on the model. It was put together by someone who knows what they’re doing. If you like it, do the same! Then add a little bit of your own personality to it.
We’re looking at the January/February Cover of Country Living Magazine because, why not. That’s where my inspiration comes from. I’m sure you drool over those pages too! This month’s cover did not disappoint.
With the neutral furniture, white accents, and wood tones, I was about ready to call a redo in my own home! So without further adieu, I’m gonna share with you some DIYs and also some products that I’ve found resembling the items in the photo, so you can remake this style in your own home!

Colors in photos can be deceiving, but this looks to me like a warm white, similar to Alabaster from Benjamin Moore

And if you don’t have a fireplace, here’s a fun tutorial on how to add a faux fireplace to your room, modify as needed.

The Wood Beams
The Jute Rug
The Arm Chairs
The Side Table
The Tobacco Basket
I bought my Replication Antique Tobacco Baskets from Decor Steals. I would keep an eye out for the next time they have them in stock!
