Hey readers! I wanted to share a project with you that was completed by a good friend of mine. Patrick and Ann had been looking for a good sized table for their new dining table, and after coming up short in their search for one in their price range, style, and size they wanted, they ventured into the DIY world to make one themselves.
And I have to tell you, this thing is gorgeous. But I’ll let Patrick tell you the who/what/when/where and how much, because he is clearly the expert in the table making!
So here is Patrick with the deets:
We decided that instead of spending $1600 at Pottery Barn, we would save some money and invest some time into a one of a kind 8 ft dining room table. The inspiration came from the Toscana dining room table, but the plans were more or less customized to meet our needs. We chose to go with an 8 ft long, 40 inch wide top, made from 1 x 4 pine boards, which will seat around 10 people.
