This week my husband and I have been talking a lot about what I want the next step to be in this blog adventure and where we are going to come up with the money to continue working on the house with a single income. I love working on the house and trying fun new projects, but our income is very limited now since we decided to take a leap of faith this past summer when I resigned from teaching to go head on into entrepreneurship.
My husband and other family members have been encouraging me to start a business with all of the furniture and crafts that I love to create, so I have been looking into booth spaces at antique/craft shops in the area.
Here is one space that was available that I really liked. It has its own pergola type thing and I can just imagine it painted an airy color with burlap flags and chandaliers hanging from it:
For the moment I don’t have a lot of inventory, and it may take a while to build up enough inventory to make sense to rent space, but I’m glad I looked into it. I have had nothing but positive feedback from family and friends, and I look forward to trying it out sometime soon. For now, I am going to build up my skills, try out some news things, and slowly build up a good amount of inventory. I’m really excited to start this chapter because I feel like all of my projects will be valuable to our family since I will use the money earned to contribute to our house project fund.
So follow me as I enbark on this new adventure: Building my ‘brand’ and opening my own booth!
